Header Competition Season 2 # 16 Pipes

The header theme this week by Dave is "Pipes".  Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.

Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.

Certainly a diverse choice this week. I thought about the pipes on the Ford Roadster I had captured this Summer.
I also thought about the pipe shape of the silos I had taken.
I finally decided on the multiple pipe views on the Cuyahoga River photo. It shows the pipe along the tracks. The multiple railings made from pipes. The flag staffs on the bridge and the view under the bridge. It even has the white grain silos on the right side of the tracks.

Header Competition Season 2 # 15 - MISSING

The header theme this week by Lanny is "Missing".  Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.  After all the hard themes over the past few weeks I decided on something pretty easy to find.

Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.

Missing, another tough subject. I wonder how people will choose what is MISSING. My first choice was to find what IS missing.
My second thought was the Summer weather and the beauty of the butterfly.
I finally decided to stay in the Winter and the buck with half its rack MISSING.
Check to see what the other chose above.

Header Competition Season 2 # 14 - WATER

The header theme this week by me is "Water ".

Water can be found everywhere but our lakes are a little hard at the present time. This is a shot from our last fishing trip at the end of November and it shows the start of hard water. We were easily able to motor through the thin ice.
I considered this white crappie right out of the water.
Then thought this large mouth bass in the water was cool.
I enjoyed this shot at the twin tower bay with the two large oaks reflecting in the water.
I decided on this photo from Salzburg, Austria and the flowing water from "The Sound of Music" fountain and my wife striking a pose.

Header Competition Season 2 # 13 - Squaring the Circle

The header theme this week by Gail's Man is "Squaring the Circle ".  Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.  Gail's Mans idea was really tricky. I'm still under the weather so am posting a little early while I'm feeling fairly well.

Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.

What a tough theme. It does come from the scientific community so I could understand it. The idea was could you construct a square the same area as a circle. I made this little explanation of what is done. A perfect example of pie can be square (just a joke).
Finding examples of the theme were nil. I thought of some circles which were nice to show like this older cars headlights, tire and wheel.
This show car was also pretty neat. Check out those wheels and fog lights!!!!
What I ended up choosing was a Carolina Wren on a suet feeder hanger that went from a circular arc to a square feeder. I only wish you could enjoy its song. Quite the bird, don't you guys from England agree?????

See what others show today, there should be a lot of diversity.
